At Consummate Canine Companions, we understand that no two dogs, or owners, are exactly the same. While one training approach might work great for one dog, that same technique can fail miserably with another. Because of these differences, we offer a variety of all breed obedience training services including group, private, & in-home sessions as well as one on one behavior modification consulting designed to work with your schedule & requirements.

Whether its a new addition to the family in need of manners, an existing member with a specific issue, or an old friend who requires special attention, we'll teach you proven & effective training techniques & behavior modification solutions that will last a lifetime.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Consummate Canine Companions teaches both classical & operant conditioning techniques for training & behavior modification using fun & effective methods to build trust & understanding between dog & handler. This trusting relationship allows the dog to feel confident in himself & the fact that he can rely on his handler to take care of him in any situation. This bond & sense of assurance & safety decreases the dog's chances of becoming stressed, frustrated, aggressive or difficult to control. We always begin with a positive reinforcement approach, & appropriately teach all four quadrants of operant conditioning, as needed. Consistency & timing are critical. Clear, concrete, & reliable communication in conjunction with confidence building, play, & praise for good behavior is the most compassionate, humane & ethical foundation for training.
